“HONOR GUARD”

“An honor guard detail can be found within each of the United States armed forces: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. Their primary purpose is the presentation and protection of the national colors at formal ceremonies; to honor fallen comrades at funerals, and at official government events. Honor Guard participants are volunteers and are chosen for their professionalism, sharp military appearance, and attention to duty.”

“The Buffalo Soldier Mounted Cavalry Unit (BSMCU) has an honor guard detail that is composed of six volunteer troopers. They are called upon to present and protect the national colors at civic events, government functions, and on memorial occasions. The BSMCU performs and functions like a military unit utilizing either period carbines or sabers to complete the uniform appearance. ”

“Would you like to have the BSMCU perform the Honor Guard at your next event?”
