“We are a 501 (c) 3 Non-Profit Organization. We are a performing reenactment group which specializes in American Military History. ”
“Being apart of the BSMCU inspires me to continue to learn about the Buffalo Soldiers so that I can share the message of our brave fathers. This journey also pushes me to research my own family history to discover who may have fought for the 9th and 10th Cavalry from 1866 to 1944. As a result, I will keep their legacy alive with my children, their children and beyond. As Chaplain of the BSMCU, I am afforded the opportunity to keep our faith in God alive as was done during the time of the Buffalo Soldiers. I believe that our Buffalo Soldier forefathers drew their strength and conquest from God and did not drown themselves in their sorrows of unfair treatment. However, they rose up from the lowest places of slavery and fought with courage and united for a greater purpose. That purpose was freedom and liberty for all which is what we mostly enjoy today. Freedom to worship God, freedom to pursue careers and occupations, freedom to vote and become leaders in every branch of government.“
